I recently got back from some fantastic lectures in Melbourne earlier this month – at RMIT, Melbourne University, Monash University and for the newly-launched Melbourne Skeptics and Melbourne Eastern Hills Skeptics Skeptics in the Pub with Warren Bonett of Embiggen Bookstore (which will soon open in Melbourne).

Now I’m doing more presentations this week – on philosophy, critical thinking in schools and podcasting!

At the University of Western Australia with thanks to the UWA Atheists and Skeptics Society:

Token Skepticism – Adventures in Podcasting

With over a dozen interviews, over a hundred episodes and a world-wide subscribed show, what does it take to get into skeptical podcasting? Kylie Sturgess, the first solo-female podcaster in skepticism gives an overview of how to start, what happens and some entertaining insights about online shows.

Thursday, June 2nd
3:00pm – 5:00pm
Weatherburn Lecture Theatre, Mathematics.

Then, that night I head off to Melbourne – in order to present on Sunday at the 2011 Victorian Association for Philosophy in Schools conference:

My paper is called Podcasting Philosophically  – Critical Thinking And Education and is scheduled on the Sunday morning.

“Dare to Think: Philosophy in Schools”.
Saturday 4 June and Sunday 5 June
Centre for Theology & Ministry, 29 College Crescent, Parkville VIC.

I’m looking forward to a chance to catch up with people when I’m not attending the conference! Details will feature on the Token Skeptic Twitter when I know more, at www.twitter.com/tokenskeptic.
