Episode One Hundred And Ninety Seven – On The Escapist – Interview With Lawrence Leung

This show is a rambling, chatty diversion with fellow former-MC of the Global Atheist Convention, Lawrence Leung, at a cafe in Perth!

We chat about his new show – The Escapist – about being a performer and the joys of being a skeptic and an atheist. The Escapist show is happening TONIGHT, Friday May 1st at the Octagon Theatre at UWA and will be heading to Sydney Comedy Festival from 14-15th May at the Factory Theatre.

Comedian Lawrence Leung is best known for TV shows MAXIMUM CHOPPAGE (ABC2), ABC1’s Choose Your Own Adventure and Lawrence Leung’s Unbelievable as well as playing that awkward doctor on Offspring. He’s also an award-winning stand up comic who has toured his shows to theatres around the world from the Edinburgh Fringe to the Sydney Opera House.

He’s currently touring with his critically-acclaimed new show THE ESCAPIST. It’s about breaking free from embarrassing situations, unexpected moments, parental expectations… and doona covers.
